Coty Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Coty Inc. is an American multinational beauty company founded in 1904 by François Coty. With its subsidiaries, it develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes fragrances, cosmetics, skin care, nail care, and both professional and retail hair care products. Coty owns around 77 brands as of 2018.

A former employee shared this review, "Worked here for a year or less. Coty acquired from Procter & Gamble. It wasn't anything I enjoyed about this company other then the people I worked with that also came from P&G"

Too many managers, too many meetings, too much micro managing and not enough focus on working as a team to get the work done. Management has no respect for caring and hardworking team members who take care of the customers and daily business well.

A former employee shared this review, "Worked here for a year or less. Coty acquired from Procter & Gamble. It wasn't anything I enjoyed about this company other then the people I worked with that also came from P&G" − Condescending managers with many demands. An overall lack of healthy organization to support the team. You will not advance based on achievement & skill but, rather who you know. Coty is a company who promotes work life balance but, does not support a healthy work life balance. There are high and impossible expectations and standards set for team members.

− Good work is not genuinely recognized. The question is always what more can you do, no matter how much you have accomplished, do or give. No matter how much you give it will never be enough to get a decent raise, you may get a slap in the face instead.

− No job security. You can count on being disrespected. A train wreck."

"I have a new package of Eternity perfume which contains a body lotion, a bottle of perfume (100ml) and a small vaporizer (10ml) for traveling. Both bottles of perfume have totally lost the scent and smell like pure alcohol. As it was a present I cant change it in the shop. First I wrote to Calvin Klein and it took about 2 weeks until I received the reply to contact with Coty. I wrote Coty and after about 3 weeks I received the reply that they may have changed the formula. I wrote them back, that it seems they didn`t read my mail properly. It didn`t smell different, it smells like pure alcohol. It`s been about 2 weeks now and I haven`t received any further reply. I am really annoyed. Not only that I have no perfume and the money has been spent in vain, but as well Coty sends a stupid excuse that obviously has nothing to do with my problem."

"Bought an item 21st of January. As of 7th of March it hasn't been delivered and I haven't received my money back."

"Unacceptable. I bought a bottle of Cover Girl foundation, and when I got it home and managed to peel off the outer label to reveal the label underneath, I discovered chemicals in the product that I don't want on my skin. I had lost my receipt so I couldn't return it to the drugstore, so I wrote to Coty in New York to ask for a refund of my $25. I explained my concern for the the chemicals. I received a reply that told me that this is par for the course, that these elements are in all beauty products, they are an industry standard. The woman who replied made no reference to my request for a refund; she basically said to suck it up and get with the program. These chemicals are NOT industry standard. I use Burt's Bees products and other chemical-free products. I wrote back to her asking again for a refund, and I got no reply. Coty lost a customer,"

"Customer Services, have not answerd my complaint or sent complaints procedure as requested by phone & online, after 8 wks. Still unresolved, no testers for Gucci guilty oud or Gucci oud from Gucci coty or Manchester store. Incorrect recommendation given from the advisor after explaining which gucci purfumes I use & when. Have to open to purfume to smell, as tester unavailable. Very disappointed hence complaint. Customer satisfaction survey recieved 3 times, before any attempt to resolve."
